Hackathon E-Commerce
A complete storefront, built under a hackathon clock
Built during a hackathon, where the constraint wasn't skill, it was the clock: a working e-commerce flow needed to exist by the deadline, not eventually.
The app covers the core storefront loop — browsing listings, managing a cart, and moving through checkout — assembled with a type-safe Next.js + TypeScript stack and a shadcn/ui component layer for a clean, consistent interface without hand-rolling every primitive from scratch.
Shipping under a deadline forced sharper prioritization: which parts of a storefront are load-bearing for the demo, and which polish can wait.

Challenges solved
- Scoping an e-commerce flow down to what could realistically ship inside a hackathon window
- Keeping the TypeScript types honest across cart and checkout state instead of reaching for `any` under time pressure
What it taught me
- How to prioritize ruthlessly when the deadline is fixed and the scope is not
- Building a component system fast with shadcn/ui instead of custom CSS for every element
